Toffee Bar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light brown sugar, packed
    1 c. margarine, softened
    2 c. flour, sifted
    1 egg yolk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (8 oz.) milk chocolate Hershey bar
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    With electric mixer, cream brown sugar and margarine until light and fluffy.
    Add egg yolk and vanilla; beat until blended. Stir in flour until blended.
    Press mixture into a 9 x 13-inch ungreased pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
    Melt Hershey bar in double boiler and spread immediately on hot cookies.
    Sprinkle on pecans.
    Cut into bars while warm. Makes 24 bars.
