Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine (1 stick, room temperature)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 2/3 c. Bisquick
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped dates
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Beat together butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy or light.
    Add Bisquick, pecans and dates.
    Grease 8 x 8-inch pan. Press into pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Cool and cut into squares.
    Sprinkle with xxx sugar.
