Maryland Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 frying chicken, cut up
    1/2 c. flour
    salt and pepper
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 Tbsp. Old Bay seasoning
Preparation
    Roll chicken in seasoned flour.
    Dip into egg mixed with water, then into crumbs. Brown on all sides in hot fat; cover tightly and cook slowly or bake in moderate oven at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Make cream gravy from drippings and pour over chicken.
