Marinated Bell Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 each: large green, yellow and red bell pepper (1/2-inch strips)
    1 large onion, cut in 1/2-inch strips
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/4 c. white wine vinegar
    2 Tbsp. dried basil
    salt and white pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Heat oil in skillet over medium heat and add onion and pepper strips.
    Cover and cook until peppers are slightly softened. Place in bowl and add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Can be prepared 1 day ahead.
    Cover and refrigerate.
