Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients.
Add alternately with buttermilk.
Add flavorings.
Beat 15 minutes.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for about 50 minutes.
