Congress Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream the butter, sugar and egg.
    Add the flour, milk, baking powder, salt and vanilla and mix until smooth.
    Line muffin tins with a pie pastry.
    Put in 1 teaspoon strawberry or other jam. Put some of the cake batter on top and bake 20 minutes at 375\u00b0.
