Grandmother'S Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 can cherries
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream 1 cup sugar and butter.
    Mix dry\tingredients and add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
    Heat
    3/4\tcup sugar
    and cherries.\t Put
    batter
    in baking dish
    and
    pour cherries over the top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Batter will rise to the top.
