Best Yet Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 c. light or dark syrup
    1 stick butter or margarine
    pinch of cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    5 qt. freshly popped popcorn
    1 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    Boil sugar, syrup, butter and cream of tartar together for 5 minutes. Stir in soda.
    Add popcorn and peanuts.
    Mix thoroughly and spread on 2 slightly greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 200\u00b0 for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
