Super Royal Fans - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 c. light brown sugar
3/4 c. butter
1 egg yolks
2 tsp. water

Preparation

Blend flour and sugar.
Work in butter with fingers until mixture resembles pastry.
Divide dough into 4 parts; roll each part into 6-inch rounds.
Cut each round into 6; mark with back of knife like a fan.
Beat egg yolk slightly; add water.
Brush fans with egg mixture.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes in moderate oven (375\u00b0).
Yields 24 fans.
