Russian Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. real wine vinegar
    1 c. cold water
    4 cloves (whole)
    10 peppercorns
    1 bay leaf
    4 tsp. salt
    3 cloves garlic
    2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Bring to boil the first 7 items.
    Add mushrooms.
    Simmer for 15 minutes.
    Cook.
    Remove garlic.
    Pour into jar (glass if possible); top with oil.
    Place plastic over lid and tighten top. Let sit 6 days before eating.
