Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. warm buttermilk
1/2 c. warm water
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
3 to 4 Tbsp. soft shortening
2 1/2 to 3 c. flour
1 pkg. yeast
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Melt shortening in warm buttermilk.
Add sugar, salt and soda to warm buttermilk mixture. It will foam up.
Add this to yeast, then add flour.
Add more flour if needed.
Knead dough and then cover with bowl.
Wait 15 minutes.
Make rolls or loaves and let rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
If in loaves, bake until when patted sounds hollow.
