Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. white sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening *
5 eggs *
2 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
1 c. milk
3 c. all-purpose flour (measure and then sift)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
