Eggnog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. brandy, rye or whiskey
    1/2 c. Jamaican rum
    6 egg whites
    2 c. heavy cream, whipped
    2 1/2 c. milk
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.
    Beat in sugar. Slowly add brandy and rum.
    Cover and chill.
    Just before serving, fold in stiffly beaten egg whites, whipped cream and milk to thin. Place in punch bowl; sprinkle with nutmeg.
