Apple Betty - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. McIntosh apples, grated
4 c. cake crumbs
fruit juice
sugar
cinnamon to taste
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Grease 2-quart casserole.
Cover bottom with cake crumbs.
Add apples, sugar, cinnamon and fruit juice.
Repeat, alternating layers of crumbs with layers of apples and spices.
Top with cake crumbs.
Drizzle with butter.
Sprinkle with sugar; slightly moisten with fruit juice.
Bake 3/4 hour at 375\u00b0.
Test for doneness.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
