Franzenkung(A German Potato Dish Served With Roast Beef And Gravy) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium-sized white potatoes
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. cream or half and half
    1 tsp. salt or to taste
    vegetable oil (see directions)*
Preparation
    Peel and cube potatoes.
    Place a portion of the cubed potatoes in a blender (do not overfill blender).
    Fill blender with water to nearly cover potatoes.
    Blend until grated (mixture is watery). Pour mixture into a mesh wire strainer (do not use a colander) and drain off water.
    Place strained potatoes in mixing bowl and repeat process until all potatoes are grated.
    Add flour, cream and salt to grated potatoes and mix thoroughly; set aside.
