Frosted Apricot Jewels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
    1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    1/2 cup flaked coconut
    1/2 cup apricot preserves
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; cut in butter and cream cheese until mixture resembles coarse meal.
    Add coconut and preserves, mixing well.
    Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool completely on a wire rack.
    Spread each cookie with frosting and top with a pecan half.
    Yield:
    about 4 dozen cookies.
