Warm German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. potatoes
    1/4 lb. bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until done but firm.
    Cool; remove skins.
    Cut bacon into small pieces; fry until crisp, then drain.
    Return 1/4 cup bacon fat to pan.
    Saute vegetables.
    Stir in sugar, flour, salt and pepper.
    Add vinegar and water; cook until thick.
    Slice skinned potatoes into bowl.
    Add bacon.
    Pour sauce over potatoes; mix lightly.
    Serve warm.
