    2 c. plain yellow cornmeal (stone ground)
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. water
    4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 eggs

    Option:
    Can use 1 egg plus more water.
