Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 lb. hard pears
8 oz. can pimentos, chopped
3 jalapeno peppers (optional)
3 c. white vinegar
8 Tbsp. salt
6 large green peppers
6 large onions
4 c. sugar
1 large bottle mustard (pint)
Preparation

Easiest way is to wash pears, removing seeds and any dark spots.
Wash and seed bell peppers.
Peel and wash onions (jalapenos too, if used).
Grind all ingredients in a food chopper. Then mix all other ingredients in large pot.
Cook slowly for one hour or until thickened.
Pour into jars and seal.
Very good on pork or any other meats.
