Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. light corn syrup
    1 c. butter
    1 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts
    1 1/4 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Put all ingredients, except for chocolate chips, in cast-iron frying pan.
    Cook on medium, stirring constantly, until brittle stage.
    Candy will turn thick and amber in color.
    Pour onto buttered cookie sheet; let stand 4 minutes.
    Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
    Let melt; spread over candy.
    Let cure 24 hours.
