Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    7 medium potatoes
    2 medium onions
    1 lb. salt bacon, cut into fine cubes
    1 or 2 cans evaporated milk
    6 hard-boiled eggs
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cube salt bacon very tiny.
    Put peeled, sliced potatoes in water.
    Chop 2 onions fine.
    Cook over medium fire until meat is done.
    Salt to taste.
    Usually has enough in bacon.
    Mash with potato masher.
    Add can cream to taste.
    Thicken with a little cornstarch.
    Slice eggs over top of each soup bowl.
    This is a hearty soup served with cornbread.
