Pumpkin Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 c. white sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/3 c. sour milk
2/3 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream the margarine and sugars. Add egg and pumpkin.
Sift together all dry ingredients. Beat in alternating with sour milk. Add nuts, if desired.
Bake in two 8-inch greased cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Cool. Frost with Fluffy White Icing.
