Rhubarb Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. finely cut rhubarb
    1/2 c. shortening
    brown sugar
    1/2 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix sugar and rhubarb and set aside.
    In large bowl, cream shortening, brown sugar and white sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. Add to first mixture and mix well.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
