Mom Scholl'S Richer Roll Dough - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 pkg. dry yeast (use 5 pkg. for double recipe)
Preparation

Scald milk.
Add sugar and cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water, 5 minutes. Add a little sugar to yeast when dissolving. Combine lukewarm milk and dissolved yeast.
Add 3 cups flour and beat well. Add eggs and salt which have been beaten lightly. Add melted Crisco.
When it is well blended, add most of the remaining flour, reserving some for kneading.
When thoroughly mixed and stiff, let rest for 10 minutes.
After resting, knead until smooth and elastic. Return to oiled bowl to rise until doubled. Punch down.
Knead and let rise again.
Shape into loaves, rolls, etc., and let rise.
Put in preheated 400\u00b0 oven about 15 minutes.
