Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. white corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    nutmeg or cinnamon
Preparation
    Pare sweet potatoes.
    Cut in halves lengthwise.
    Place in baking dish.
    Add sugar, syrup, butter and water.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.
    Cover.
    Bake in oven until tender and a thick syrup is formed.
