Elie'S Best French Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg, separated
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar gradually until fluffy.
    Blend in egg yolk; mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk.
    Fold in beaten egg white.
    Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    While hot, dip tops in melted butter, then in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
