Peanut Butter Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. peanut butter
    6 c. cornflakes
    1 c. peanuts (optional)
    few chocolate chips
Preparation
    Combine Karo, sugars and vanilla in large (3-quart) saucepan. Bring to rolling boil.
    Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, cornflakes and peanuts.
    Spread mixture evenly and firmly in a buttered 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 pan.
    If desired, spread few chocolate chips evenly over candy.
    Place in 300\u00b0 oven until chips soften, about 1 minute.
    Spread chips evenly.
    Cut into desired sizes.
