Play Dough - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. cold water
food coloring

Preparation

Mix together in saucepan until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring and scraping pan constantly, until it sticks together in a ball.
The dough will be very stiff and difficult to stir.
Turn out on table and let cool enough to handle.
Knead for 5 minutes. Store in airtight container.
Do not refrigerate.
