Kraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage, cut fine
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Fill a quart fruit jar 1 inch from the top with cabbage.
    Add salt and sugar.
    Fill jar to half with real hot water.
    Put lid on jar but not on tight.
    Set jar in pan so when it ferments, it will run into the pan.
    Let set for 3 days.
    Put enough water in to cover the kraut, ready to eat in 4 days.
