Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar at high speed until well mixed. Add beaten egg yolks and mix well.
    Sift together the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; add alternately with the milk to the mixture.
    Add vanilla and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
    Fold into batter.
