Ingredients

3 eggs
3/4 c. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. milk
3 sq. melted semi-sweet baking chocolate

Preparation

Beat the eggs until stiff.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat some more.
Mix flour and baking powder and add alternately with the milk.
Bake in spring-form pan at 375\u00b0; cool on rack.
When ready to fill, split in two layers.
