Date Loaf Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. light cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 lb. pitted dates
    1 lb. pecans
Preparation
    Cook sugar, butter and cream until it forms a soft ball in cool water.
    Add vanilla and dates and beat until lukewarm.
    Add pecans and roll into a loaf and store in refrigerator until the next day.
    Slice.
