Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    4 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. mashed and strained potatoes
    1 1/2 c. sweet milk
    flavor with lemon or nutmeg
    1 unbaked pie crust
Preparation
    Boil, mash and strain potatoes, then measure.
    Add butter and milk.
    Separate eggs.
    Beat yolks with sugar.
    Add to potatoes. Beat whites stiff and fold into potatoes.
    Pour into pie crust and bake 30 minutes in moderate oven or until done.
    Brush over the pastry with cooking oil or melted shortening before putting in the mixture.
    This prevents the crust from getting soggy.
