Pan Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cold coffee
2 c. peeled, cored and chopped fine apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Cream the sugar, shortening and egg.
Add dry ingredients alternating with coffee.
Add apples.
Put in greased 9 x 9-inch square pan.
Top with brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
May put topping in cake to make richer and give more flavor.
