Fruit And Nutty Prune Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pitted prunes or 15
    1 c. warm water
    1 egg
    1/2 c. orange juice (you can substitute dry apricots, if desired)
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt.
    Combine with sugar.
    Cut in shortening until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
    Combine in blender prunes, water, egg and orange juice. Blend well, then mix it in with dry ingredients.
    Add nuts. Mixture will be lumpy.
    Grease small loaf pans, about 6. Spoon mixture in and place pans on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
