Old Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk, heat to scalding
    4 c. coarse bread crumbs
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
Preparation
    Pour the scalded milk over the bread crumbs. Cool and add the remaining ingredients.
    Pour into buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350\u00b0 until silver knife inserted in pudding comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes.
