Mexican Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 chopped onion
    2 c. kidney beans, drained
    1/2 c. French dressing
    1/2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 c. shredded lettuce
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 avocado, chopped
Preparation
    Brown ground beef and onion.
    Stir in beans, dressing, water and chili powder.
    Simmer for 15 minutes.
    Add other ingredients and 1/2 cup cheese.
    Toss lightly.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
    Serve with crisp tortillas if desired.
    Add avocado last.
