Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 egg
    4 tsp. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add egg and milk; beat until light and fluffy.
    Mix together dry ingredients.
    Blend into creamed mixture.
    Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
    On a lightly floured surface, roll 1/2 of the dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
    Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Cool slightly, then remove from sheet.
    Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
