Chicken Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 whole (2 3/4 to 3 lb. each) chickens
    1 qt. water
    2 qt. cider vinegar
    2 lb. butter
    1/4 lb. salt
    2 (18 oz.) jars Kraft barbecue sauce (for color)
Preparation
    Split chicken into halves.
    Mix together all ingredients except chicken, in a large pot over low heat.
    When butter is no longer lumpy and sauce is hot, it's ready to use.
    Apply to chicken every 5 to 10 minutes until chicken is completely done, 1 to 2 hours. Best barbecued over a charcoal pit.
