Teresa'S Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground round
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large red pepper, chopped
    1 can pinto beans with jalapenos
    1 small can (8 oz.) whole kernel corn
    3 cans dried stewed tomatoes
    1 pkg. dry buttermilk Ranch style dressing
    1 envelope taco seasoning mix
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated cheese
    sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain.
    Heat onion and pepper in skillet with 1 teaspoon butter for a few minutes.
    Put all ingredients in a large stock pot.
    Add 1 gallon of water.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Serve over crushed tortilla chips.
    Top with 1 tablespoon grated cheese and sour cream.
