Old Fashioned Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 whole eggs
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 dash salt
    2 c. milk (add a little more milk when using 4 eggs)
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    nutmeg to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Beat eggs well and blend with sugar and salt.
    Beat mixture until well blended.
    Add melted butter, milk and vanilla.
    Mix well and pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Start baking in preheated 450\u00b0 to 500\u00b0 oven until top and crust begin to brown.
    Reduce heat to 300\u00b0 and bake until tester comes out clean.
