Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. tomato ketchup
    1 Tbsp. ground red pepper
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. mustard
    2 Tbsp. black pepper
    4 c. vinegar
    2 sticks oleo
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in large roaster, except for cornstarch. Cook over medium to low heat for about an hour.
    Add cornstarch, mixed with another 1/2 cup water; stir in to thicken.
    Add a small bottle white Karo syrup ad if you want it hotter, you can add some crushed red pepper.
    Cool and pour into jars; store in refrigerator.
    Makes about a gallon.
