Mama'S Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    2 c. raisins (optional)
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients together and add the rest one at a time.
    Mix very well.
    Pour into greased and floured cake pans and bake at 400\u00b0 or until done.
    Only takes about 15 minutes per layer if you do them thin.
    If not, bake as you would a normal cake. Can be done as 3 layer cake or in a 9 x 13 cake pan.
