Five-Hour Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stew beef, cut up
    4 large carrots, sliced
    1 large onion, in chunks
    4 to 6 celery stalks, in chunks
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. tapioca
    3 Tbsp. wine (optional)
    1 green pepper, in chunks
    2 lb. can tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
    Prepare ingredients.
    Mix together and place in ovenproof, covered casserole or Dutch oven.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    Do not uncover or stir while cooking.
