Stirring Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. red crystallized cherries
    1/2 lb. white crystallized pineapple
    1/2 lb. green crystallized pineapple
    3 pt. shelled nuts (you can use mixed nuts, pecans and English walnuts)
    1/4 lb. raisins
    1/2 lb. oleo or butter
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. sugar
    4 large eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. cake spice mix
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add one egg at a time and beat well. Add flour, flavoring and spice.
    Beat well.
    Add fruits and nuts which are chopped coarsely.
    Pour into a large greased pan and bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes.
    Stir; repeat 3 times.
    Have tube cake pan greased and lined with brown paper.
    Pack hot cake mix in it and bake for 15 minutes longer.
    Let stand in pan about 15 minutes before turning out.
