3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. golden raisins
1/2 c. chopped candied cherries
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and grated
2 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. brandy or orange juice
1 c. flour
1 c. fresh white bread crumbs
1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. molasses
3 eggs, beaten
slivered almonds
whipped cream
Preparation

Coat 6-cup mold with cooking spray.
Combine raisins, cherries, apple, lemon peel, juice and brandy.
Let stand 1 hour. Add rest of cake mixture to the fruit mixture.
Pour into mold and set mold pan in large saucepot.
Add boiling water to halfway up side of mold pan.
Cover and steam 4 hours.
