Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
    4 c. fresh strawberries
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. strawberry jello
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    red food coloring
Preparation
    Put strawberries into pie shell.
    In saucepan, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, jello and water.
    Cook until clear and thickened, stirring constantly.
    Add food coloring to make syrup a deep red.
    Pour syrup over the berries.
    Chill.
    Serve with whipped cream.
    Makes about 6 servings.
