Venison Sauerbraten - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. venison steak or round steak, cut into bite size pieces
2 Tbsp. oil
2 pkg. brown gravy mix
4 c. water
2 Tbsp. minced onion
4 Tbsp. vinegar
4 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ginger
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 whole bay leaves
Preparation

Brown meat in oil in large skillet.
Remove meat.
Add to drippings in pan the gravy mix and water slowly so no lumps.
Then stir in all other ingredients and return meat.
Simmer for 1 1/2 hours except last 15 minutes (to thicken).
Serve over hot buttered egg noodles or over mashed potatoes.
