Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. quick oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 well beaten eggs
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over quick oats.
    Stir and let stand 20 minutes or until completely cold.
    Cream brown sugar, white sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs and cold oats; mix well.
    Add cinnamon, soda and salt.
    Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and bake for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
