Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 to 2/3 c. Crisco
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil 4 1/2 tablespoons sugar and water 1 minute.
    Beat egg, add powdered sugar and beat well.
    Add syrup.
    Add Crisco, vanilla and salt.
    Beat until creamy.
    If too thin, add more Crisco.
    Add 1 tablespoon cocoa, if desired.
